Happy Halloween

We had such a fun Halloween Weekend.  It was filled with two awesome parties, which two of our favorite couples hosted.  It took us forever to decide on a costume.  Thanks to my brother Matt for coming up with some great ideas for us, even though we didn't end up using them, I plan on using them in future years!  And thanks to Mom for helping us decide to be Salt and Pepper shakers!  It was an easy and cheap costume which was great because this week we were not only busy with the usual stuff, but we also had to write talks. We spoke in sacrament meeting today!!  Oh joy! Just kidding, it actually wasn't too bad and for the first time I wasn't really that nervous.  My voice didn't even shake, it's a miracle!  P never gets nervous and he's a natural in front of an audience so it was a breeze for him, although he did struggle with the actual writing of the talk.  We're glad it's over but it's never really over right? Cause we got called to be Sunday School teachers!  It's our second time with this calling, and I'm not particularly thrilled to be doing it again but hopefully it will increase my knowledge of the Old Testament.

Today I made... Dinner in a Pumpkin!
This is a little tradition that my mom does every Halloween and I have carried it on in my little family.  This is my third year doing it. In the past two years we ate it with the Crockett fam, but they're living in Cali now so unfortunately we were on our own this year.  You pre-make the rice and chicken mixture and then cook it in a pumpkin.  It's fun and quite delicious!  Thanks Mom for the festive tradition!!

Hope you all had a fun Halloween!!  And I think you all should post pics on your blog of your Halloween costumes because I love seeing what others dressed up as.

Your costumes were so cute! That's a fun idea. And my mom always made dinner in a pumpkin too! Marcus is a little scared of it, and thinks it is sketchy, and he usually encourages me NOT to make it each year...hah. Maybe yours tastes better than mine? Mine is a rice mixture too but with hamburger, not chicken. Although I like it.

Love your costumes! Looks like you guys are having a lot of fun! Keep it up, and about your comment saying you wanted to be a mom! It's the best thing ever! But have fun with P as long as you can before you start having babies. That is my only advice :) .
Love ya girl!
