I can't believe how fast Christmas came and went. It always seems to come and go too quickly. This year P and I didn't exchange gifts with each other and it was kind of nice not to have to worry about what we were going to get each other. It helped me to focus on the true meaning of Christmas rather than finding that perfect gift, although don't get me wrong, I love to pick out gifts (and receive gifts, of course!) so we still bought for siblings and our parents and received some wonderful gifts from family.
Christmas morning was spent with Momma Phyllis and Jen. We attended church and enjoyed having Christmas on a Sunday, it was a great reminder of what we were really celebrating that day. After church, Jen made us the best breakfast ever, she is a wonderful cook, I always look forward to anything she cooks or bakes.
Christmas day and evening was spent with my side of the family. We opened presents with my family, enjoyed a wonderful dinner (prime rib made by mom, it was her first time) and then headed over to Nana and Papa's for more eating, acting out the nativity and playing games.
Complete with costumes straight from The Holy Land. My parent's brought them back this year from their trip to Jerusalem and Egypt.
Thanks to our friends Robie and Chelsea for introducing us to our new favorite game, Spot It. It was one of a few small things I bought for our family from Santa :) It's such a fun game.
