Santa Barbara

Two weekends ago we had the chance to travel to Santa Barbara and visit our friends, Weston and Kath.  It was so much fun to see them and to catch up.  They let us stay in their apartment, eat their yummy food and they also showed us around town.  Weston is one of P's best friends from way back in Jr. High and he's helped P out a lot with the business school and other things.  He's married to Kath, who I adore and admire so much, and they have 2 darling kids. We love their company and we all get along so great, they are one of my most favorite couples to hang out with, we're going to miss them SO much in Provo! (we used to live right by them in Provo, and we enjoyed eating Sunday dinners with them, helping them out with the kids, watching movies together and staying up late chatting about life.  Provo will not be the same without them!).  Here are some photos of our weekend together.

They took us to the beach and to the pier, it was chilly but we still had a great time watching Tal run around and P practice his jumps!

Highlights of the weekend:
-having the chance to see them, we haven't seen them since we left Provo and we don't know the next time we'll see them.
-chatting till wee hours of the morning
-eating those yummy bars from Costco (I've got to get me some of those pronto!)
-eating hot cookies straight from the oven and P eating lots of cookie dough
-eating yummy tacos at the Mexican place
-walking around downtown
-playing on the beach
-feeding the missionaries pizza for dinner
-driving home (along the coast) and seeing dolphins? or some kind of animal in the water, we weren't quite sure what. 
-P and I got a great look into what it's like to be parents of two little ones.  Can you say A LOT of work and patience?!!  We decided we're not ready for kids yet :) But when we do have them we hope they're as cute as these ones! And hopefully we'll be great parents like Weston and Kath!
